Oregano

About me: Oregano is a flowering plant in the mint family. It is a perennial herb and can be found in many different varieties. It’s great used fresh or can easily be dried.

To store: For short-term storage, stand upright in a container with an inch of water. Then cover the herbs loosely with a plastic bag and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. To dry, either put in a dehydrator until all moisture has gone, or tie the bunch of oregano with a string and hang it upside down in a cool, dry place until all moisture is gone. Afterwards, you can either keep whole on the stem, or blend into a powder.
