Chives
About Me: Chives are part of the allium family and are related to garlic, leeks, onions, shallots, and scallions. They are great used fresh but we don’t really recommended them for drying and long-term storage. We love chives in our house and use them to add flavour to most dishes. Sandwiches, pasta, Indian food...you name it. Chives are always a go-to in any herb-y sauce or spread too.
You can also eat the chive flowers at any stage. They make a beautiful garnish for any dish.
To store: For short-term storage, stand upright in a container with an inch of water. Then cover the herbs loosely with a reused plastic bag and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Recipes: Literally anything.
