Tarragon (Russian)

About me: Tarragon is a woody perennial that is highly aromatic that is both bitter and sweet and tastes a bit like licorice. It has long slender leaves that can be dried or used fresh. 

To store: Fresh tarragon can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Place tarragon stems in a small glass of water and leave on the counter for about a week. For longer storage, keep the herb in the fridge. Rinse and pat dry fresh tarragon, wrap it in a damp paper towel, and place it in an airtight container where it will last for about two weeks in the refrigerator. You can also freeze fresh tarragon for up to five months. Dried tarragon will keep for up to a year if stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
