About me: Sorrel is a perennial herb and has a beautiful lemon flavour. We grow it as a baby green at the farm and it makes a wonderful addition to salads. Red sorrel is detoxifying and acts as a diuretic. Juicing Red sorrel leaves and ingesting the juice can benefit the kidneys and urinary tract. Tea made from steeping the leaves can be helpful for inflammation and fevers. Red sorrel contains high amounts of vitamin C and several B vitamins, in addition to calcium, potassium, magnesium, and a small amount of phosphorus.
To store: Keep dry, unwashed greens in a mesh bag, then covered with a reused plastic bag or container in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
