Cabbage

                                                               

About meWe grow three types of cabbage at our farm; red, green and Chinese cabbage. Cabbage is loaded with antioxidants like folates, vitamin C, K, and fibre.

StorageCabbage has a remarkable storage capacity. Just stick dry, unwashed cabbage in a cotton care bag, or paper towel, and then place inside a reused plastic bag, or container inside your fridge crisper for about a month. The outer leaves may eventually get floppy or yellowish, but they can be removed and discarded to reveal fresh inner leaves. If you have a cold cellar, cabbage can be kept at high humidity for three months! Cabbage is good fixed any way: raw, in salads, cooked, steamed, braised, barbequed, or fried.
